welcome
No one ever followed his genius til it misled him. Though the result were bodily weakness, yet perhaps no one can say
that the consequences were to be regretted, for these were a life in conformity to higher principles. If the day and night are such
that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry,
more immortal,--that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The
greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them.
They are the highest reality....the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints
of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.
--Henry David Thoreau

There are two words to describe me: 'atheistic' and 'cynical'.
Anything else, you'll have to find out by yourself.
Don't like it, sue me.
And that's the awful truth.

Wow, I had a really frightening dream the other night, and I realise all my nightmares usually involve the same monsters: dinosaurs. Urgh. I friggin dreamed that the dinosaurs were coming to eat me, and I was stuck in this floor of some building, and there were cameras at every room, even the stairwell, so no matter where I hid, where I ran, they knew where I was. Then there were these people there with me, I can't remember their faces and one of them suggested we overturn the couches and hide underneath them. So we turned the camera away from us, overturned all the couches so they won't know which one we hid under, and then we just crawled under them, closed our eyes, kept absolutely quiet, and just waited. Hoping that we would survive. Of all the dreams I could have had...
Christmas is around the corner, which means my book is arriving soon! I can't wait man! If it's anything like 'I Know This Much Is True', its gotta be awesome. His characters are just so real, the plot so human, the emotions so genuine, I just can't understand how anyone could settle for Meg Cabot or Stephenie Meyer or all that stupid fantasy crap when there are authors like Wally Lamb, Joshua Ferris, Khaled Hosseini, Stephen King, Douglas Adams and Oscar Wilde out there! It just doesn't make sense! I can understand if you want a light read, a funny one, but Douglas Adams and Joshua Ferris all fit that description so perfectly! I hate people like that, 'specially since they're old enough to be reading good books. I mean, if you don't read the good ones, might as well not read at all! How can you settle for such poor quality?
This applies for movies as well. Especially that HSM crap. I get it, its a teen flick, but that is the exact reason why you shouldn't watch it! It's immature, unrealistic, disgustingly lame, the speech sucks, the acting sucks, I hate the choreography (but I'll admit, at least they can dance it), and the only thing remotely commercially profitable about it is the singing, and the fact that all the actors and actresses fit the perfect image of 'hot' (of which I do not approve of). Everything about it has been altered to fit the condescending image of children, who are too young to understand the concept of REALITY. It is just insulting. There are so many better movies out there, more humourous, more entertaining, more thrilling, that I just can't understand why anyone would pay to suffer through 90 mins of that crap.
If anyone wants a good read, or a good watch, I'd be more than happy to direct them. Even if they want kiddy books or movies, I have a couple up my sleeve.
It's time for a change people, we're going to be Sec 3 next year. It's about time we start growing up.
