welcome
No one ever followed his genius til it misled him. Though the result were bodily weakness, yet perhaps no one can say
that the consequences were to be regretted, for these were a life in conformity to higher principles. If the day and night are such
that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry,
more immortal,--that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The
greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them.
They are the highest reality....the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints
of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.
--Henry David Thoreau

There are two words to describe me: 'atheistic' and 'cynical'.
Anything else, you'll have to find out by yourself.
Don't like it, sue me.
And that's the awful truth.

Speech Day and Learning Fest are finally over! Thank goodness! I was so bloody nervous that I messed up one name, and it was just a stupid letter that I misread. Then I opened my prize, for getting top in English, and realized it was only a $30 Borders book voucher. So much for all my effort right? Learning Fest was super boring. I sat on the parade square through most of it, and actually got a little sunburnt. Stupid. After that I went to Borders to spend my measly voucher. I searched for ages before I found the Stephen King books. My goodness, do you know how many of his books are there? Practically all, and that's not a small number, man! I was so happy because I finally found 'The Shining", which I had been looking for for like ever. Then I bumped into Celine, who was damn bored and didn't want to go home, so she sat with me while I tried to make up my mind and pick another book. I probably sat there for half an hour trying to make up my mind (I was spoilt for choice, I wanted to buy all of his books) before finally settling on "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" since I loved his short stories so much. Later, at night, I went with my sister to watch "The Dark Knight" at Lot 1. Dude, It was awesome! And Heath Ledger's acting was superb! It was great, and so very dark. Naturally, a lot of people died, but the ending was a little incomplete. It was really long though, like 2 hours and 30 min.
That's it! It's going to be a while before my next post. Have fun waiting!

So much has happened since my last post that it's getting kind of hard to keep up. First of all, there is Speech Day. I was shortlisted to go for the speech training to become MC for speech day. About 5 or 6 Secondary 2 pupils in total were chosen, so the fact that I am one of those few is some sort of honor I guess. However, the training was really long, and sometimes very unusual. We were given a long list of names, about a few hundred, of the pupils who were down for Speech Day, and were told to find out how every single one of their names were pronounced. A lot harder than it looks, man, especially the Indian names. There were only going to be two main MCs, and the rest were just supposed to read out names, so naturally we all thought the Sec 3s were going to get it, but I got a shock when I realized that I was chosen, along with a fellow ELDDS member, to be the main MC! I seriously couldn't believe it. However, because of this, my workload will increase significantly. Oh, and I found out that I topped my level in English Language for Sec 1 last year (!) and will be attending Speech Day as a prize recipient. Hard to believe actually. Then there is PBL presentation, which is tomorrow, and I haven't practiced at all. But it shouldn't be that bad because we got everything in order weeks ago and are all fairly prepared. Anyway, our project is very interesting so it should turn out quite well. Lit project was really last minute though, since all our previous clay models started growing fungus because of Cleo, who didn't let them dry properly. We had to finish everything in one day, so it was really rushed and very small. However, it was cute enough I guess, especially the little table and bowl of fruits. Math test was killer. I think a lot of people will do badly, mostly because of the last question. There's still hope for me to pass, but it won't be very spectacular. Probably a 10/20 or 11/20, since I screwed up the last question which was worth 8 marks. Today during music lesson, we watched a video of an African Dance performance, which was very entertaining, and were told to comment on specific parts of it. My group was given 'lighting', and we came up with this really chim analogy, some of which was crap, but it turned out very nicely. Then I finished up my essay, winging most of it, really flowering it up, and gave it to the instructor. Then she told me it was really good and that she wanted to post it up on her blog, and I was like so embarrassed. Seriously, I anyhow-ed wrote it, and most of it weren't even true, but they just sounded nice. Amazing... Really. Last, but definitely not least, Diablo 3 is coming out man! Whoo! It's a lot like DoTA now, and there's a new character, Witch Doctor, I think, who is basically a cross between a Necromancer and a Druid. Man I can't wait, and I hope it comes out soon or else I won't be able to play it because my mom will force me to study. That's about it!
