welcome
No one ever followed his genius til it misled him. Though the result were bodily weakness, yet perhaps no one can say
that the consequences were to be regretted, for these were a life in conformity to higher principles. If the day and night are such
that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry,
more immortal,--that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The
greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them.
They are the highest reality....the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints
of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.
--Henry David Thoreau

There are two words to describe me: 'atheistic' and 'cynical'.
Anything else, you'll have to find out by yourself.
Don't like it, sue me.
And that's the awful truth.

Vietnam was, well, very frightening. War, that stupid violent urge of men to conquer everything, it just makes me so sick, you know? We went to see the Cu Chi Tunnels. Apparently, during World War something, when the Americans was destroying the place, the people hid in these really small tunnels underneath the ground. I went into one of these tunnels, they were so small I almost had to crawl through them. It was so dark, I could even see my fingers in front of my face. Imagine, some of these tunnels were 100m long... the things those people went through man... Then we went to this war museum, which I really regret now, it was just so chilling. It was basically just a photo exhibition, most of them were black and white, but you could still recognize the blood anyways. There were a few that really had an impact on me. The first one was like this. It was a pile of bodies, women and children, lying on the side of the road. It looked like they were trying to run away. There was a little baby in that pile, his face was down, all their faces were down. There was blood everywhere, and this was the real deal, not diluted tomato sauce from B-rated horror movies... This was real... The second one wasn't as graphic, but the words belong it were...really something. A few boys were convicted of something, either that or they were just caught by the soldiers or something, but no matter, they were going to be killed. But before that, the photographer told the soldiers to stop for a while, and then he took a picture of the whole thing. Right after that he turned round and walked away, and didn't look back, even when he heard to gunshots fire, he just kept walking. The third one was really sad, and inspirational. These two boys were running, and when the soldiers caught them, they shot them dead. But the older one fell on top of the little one, as if he was trying to protect him. Then they just lay there on the road, and a guy just took a picture of it. The last one was the worst. The guy apparently won the Pulitzer Prise for it. A bomb had been dropped on this village, and the survivors were running down the street, screaming and crying. In the middle of the picture, there was this girl. She wasn't wearing anything, but it didn't seems like it mattered at all. Her arms were stretched out, and she lifted her head and there was this look on her face. She was screaming and crying, there was so much pain, so much sadness... It was all just so chilling you know?
