welcome
No one ever followed his genius til it misled him. Though the result were bodily weakness, yet perhaps no one can say
that the consequences were to be regretted, for these were a life in conformity to higher principles. If the day and night are such
that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry,
more immortal,--that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have cause momentarily to bless yourself. The
greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them.
They are the highest reality....the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints
of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.
--Henry David Thoreau

There are two words to describe me: 'atheistic' and 'cynical'.
Anything else, you'll have to find out by yourself.
Don't like it, sue me.
And that's the awful truth.

Let me give you a piece of advice, NEVER EVER FLY CHINA EASTERN AIRLINES! They truly suck! The flight we took from Singapore to China was delayed two hours, and the flight we took from China to Singapore was delayed three hours because the plane was apparently 'overweight' so they took an additional three hours just to sort it out. We ended up waiting five hours since we came early. The thing was, they told us the plane would be delayed for half an hour, and it seems they forgot to tell us that something else propped up. Urgh. Plus the airport had virtually no facilities and no water so I was dying of thirst. But while we were there waiting for the damned flight, it turns out there were people in a worst situation then we were. Apparently their flight had been delayed two days as the flight had been cancelled due to bad weather. You figured they would have checked a few days in advance with all their fancy technology. Then they ended up waiting for another five hours, in which some of them actually started fighting with the airport people. Then, when the plane finally started boarding, the last few people to get in were told to not go in. Why? It seems they oversold the tickets and they waited for the last few seconds to find out. What were these people to do? Well, they were given 600 yuan. which translates to $120 and told to come back tomorrow. Since they were part of a tour group, half of which was already on the plane, it was absolutely preposterous and they started fighting again. So both our flights were delayed and we weren't the only ones. Now you know...
Anyway, China wasn't that bad, only it was very dry. The scenery was good and we bought a lot of things. I have a new speaker system for my iPod and we bought lots and lots of shoes. Too bad the Converse ones were too expensive. We bought a lot of souvenirs and quite a lot of fruits. However, the tour group wasn't very good. The bus was terrible and it had no suspension what so ever. China's roads are very bumpy, and every time the bus hits a bump, the whole bus vibrates and it bounces like crazy. The bus was quite small too, only about 5 rows of seats. And when it's on the highway, where the road is better, the chairs vibrate so much that you get a massage too, though after a while it hurts quite a bit. The hotels were quite good, you know 3 stars, 4 stars and one 5 star resort that unfortunately had no heating whatsoever. The food was tolerable, though I really didn't like it being the picky person I am. However, the last lunch we had was nasty. Steamboat mushrooms dipped in chili for flavor. And the soup smelled really strong. Oh, we bought a shit load of DVDs. I have the entire 10 seasons of Friends to watch till I die, not to mention all the other movies. Okay, off to wake my sister up so we can watch some more! BYE!
